Astro - Flow
So I first saw this kid on X-Factor and thought he was ridiculously talented for his age. After finding out he had a legit mixtape, I excitedly, but skeptically (he did come from a tv show after all… but he didn’t win so thats usually a sign of real talent), downloaded it and gave it a listen. One certainty is he is legit as a rapper. I have no idea if he’s ghost written, or who does his production, but the whole tape has a retro feel, and he kills it with the “flows” (hehe, get it). I would almost define him as a young, less political Lupe Fiasco… idk if thats the best description… but either way… I’m pulling for him and am gonna keep an eye out for what he does next!
